| Dr. Alvin B. Williams |
Dr. Williams is originally from South Carolina. He graduated from S.C. State University in
Orangeburg, SC with a BS in Physics. He graduated from Meharry Medical College, School of
Dentistry prior to entering the U.S. Army Dental Corps serving his country until his
retirement in 1995. Dr. Williams has associated with several practices in Maryland prior
to his opening his own private practice February 2004.
With a need to maintain his practice on cutting edge of technology, Dr. Williams has accumulated
a wealth of knowledge through continuing education credits in many aspects of dentistry. A bit
of a "computer buff", he has networked his office to utilize charting and imaging electronically
from each operatory and file insurance claims electronically. All radiographs are digital and
reduce the amount of radiation to the patient. Dr. Williams also firmly believes in having a
gentle touch when it comes to practicing dentistry.
Dr. Williams maintains membership in the Prince George's Black Chamber of Commerce, the American
Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, the Southern Maryland Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the National Society of Dental
Practitioners, Life Membership in the NAACP, Life Membership in the Omega Psi
Phi Fraternity, Inc., Life Membership in the S.C. State University Alumni
Association, and the Covenant Baptist Church.
He is licensed to practice in both Maryland and the District of Columbia.
